Hello readers! As I head into my birthday week, I’ve decided to share another inspiring guest post by my friend, Allyson Massimi. I love making space for others to share their stories and their wisdom. In case you missed it, here’s a link to the first guest post, “A Visitation”. If you feel inspired to contribute a spiritual story or two, please reach out, and I’ll send you the guidelines. In the meantime, enjoy!
I have always been fascinated by the sky. As a child, I remember stargazing with my sisters in my parents’ backyard attempting to locate the different constellations. Now, I still often find myself looking up in awe of a beautiful ombre sunset or stopping myself to follow the trace of a misty rainbow after a rainstorm.
As kids, my cousins and I would joke that the cracking sound of thunder was actually the sound of God getting a strike during a big bowling match. For millennia humans have used the messages from the sky to make predictions. For example, the old wives tale, “Red sky at night? Sailor’s delight. Red sky at dawn? Sailors be warned” helped service men and women decide when to leave their dock or drop anchor in their travels out at sea.
Have you ever stopped to ask yourself what messages the sky has for you?
Recently, one of my favorite activities has been sitting in my mom’s backyard with my family looking up at the sky and describing the images we see in the clouds. We will sit there for hours pointing and asking each other, “Do you see the angels with the large wings above that tree?” or “Can you see the puppy playing with their ball?”, or exclaiming, “Look at that perfect image of a heart!”. We can go on like that for hours at a time, content as can be, telling the stories of the clouds as they pass us by.
Have you ever looked up to the sky and seen a cloud that looks all too much like your great grandfather or your childhood pet? Have you ever thought to yourself, “Wow that cloud looks like an angel!” and then at that exact moment you receive an intuitive download from your spirit family? Or maybe you hear the whistle of the birds gliding between the trees above you and all of a sudden their chirps start to sound like a beautiful melodious symphony.
Mother Earth is always speaking to us but oftentimes we can only piece together Her messages when we take the time to slow down and listen.
I often find that it is easiest for me to listen to Mother Earth’s messages and connect with my spirit family when I am engaging with nature. On one particular Tuesday, this notion proved to be true. I was driving home from Food Truck Tuesdays at Larkin Square in downtown Buffalo when I calmly, yet suddenly, felt a strong nudge to drive past my apartment to go watch the sunset at Chestnut Ridge Park—one of my favorite parks in all of Western New York! So I drove to the park without hesitation, even though I’d had a long tiresome day, and all I wanted to do was go home to watch a reality TV show I had been binge watching on and off for the past month.
When I arrived at the park, I parked my car in the back of the lot and made my way over to an empty picnic table on top of the toboggan hill. As I sat and watched the colors of the creamsicle sky melt together, I noticed a small group of friends speaking Arabic to my right, an ivory-skinned girl with brunette hair wearing a moss-colored shirt reading on the swing in front of me, two people at the bottom of the hill lazily tossing a frisbee back and forth, and a young couple laughing about their day to my left. As I sat there silently taking note of my surroundings and the people sharing the last bit of daylight with me, I slowly began to feel every cell in my body and every thought in my mind relax as if I was in a deep meditation. Although there was a great distance and silence between me and the other people on the hill, I felt connected to each and every one of them. Suddenly it became apparent to me that we all gathered at this particular place for this particular sunset because we all to some degree were yearning for peace as our day came to an end. As I sunk deeper into the frequency of peace, I received a beautiful intuitive download. The message was as follows:
We are all more alike now than ever before in history. Our souls were divinely chosen to inhabit Earth at this exact time because we are all silently singing the same song. A song of change. A song of freedom. A song yearning to cultivate a collective community for healing. It is no coincidence our social media feeds are all filled with messages and imagery of self-care, mental health, and holistic healing modalities. Healing is the frequency of the collective more now than it has ever been.
We are all tired of feeling wounded while walking down the same unbearable paths our ancestors have done for the many lifetimes before us. The healing in their times was more subtle because not as many people or souls were awake as we are now.
We, our souls, are returning to a state of peace. We are returning to a state of calm nervous systems, as is Mother Earth. The universal collective goal is to have the same heartbeat as Mother Gaia.
There is beauty in this collective healing. Yes, at times it can be uncomfortable, but keep going! Mother Earth, our ancestors, angels, and universal guides thank each and every one of us for being the grounds crew and leading this change.
As I write this message, the lyrics from a Les Miserable song plays in my head:
“Do you hear the people sing? ...
When the beating of your heart,
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes.”
The Universe is asking all of us to hold the vision for a better world, a healed world, a peaceful world. It is our task now to continue to do the work to heal, not only for ourselves, but also for the collective.
Do you hear the drum of the Universe? What are the signs Mother Earth is asking you to pay attention to? How is She speaking to you? How are you being called to take action? How and what are you being called to help heal?
Listen to the synchronicities the Universe is showing you and the answers to these questions will become more clear. I leave this with you in love and light.
The next time you find yourself gazing up at the sky, ask yourself this question, “What is Mother Earth trying to show me?”. You never know, the answers you are looking for just might be hidden in the clouds.

Thank you, Victoria and Allyson. I actually felt at peace reading that post, inner embracing what Allyson was describing. In one of my posts, I related that after I underwent a painful surgery this year, when I left hospital I saw a colibri shaped cloud in the dusk sky. My guides had been sending me colibris for the past few days and that one was amazing. Colibris are healing birds in several cultures so it was a real comfort to me when I saw it. The sky as well as nature contains guidance for us and it’s important to stop and look for it from time to time. Lots of love.
Beautiful. The shift is real. 🥰🙏
